The Hunger Games Movie Review
Release Date: 03/23/2012 - Theater
Rating: PG-13
EWU Score: 5/10
I thought this movie was a let down. Part of me respected that they kept it so close to the book, well other parts of me hated that they kept it so close to the book. I felt like the movie did not flow as well as the book did and kept jumping rather than transitioning into the next scene (hard to explain). I also felt they could have stretched the PG-13 title.

I saw SAW 6 on opening night, which makes it 6 straight SAW movies that I have went to see on opening night. I am going to do my best and not to give away too much spoilers but some will be unavoidable. Like must SAW movies it opened with a very gruesome trap and I would have to say that this opening scene was one of the more gruesome scenes in any SAW movie. After this gruesome scene, but for some reason funny scene too (half the crowd was grossed out the other half was laughing and cheering), the movie started to set up the plot. This time around the movie clearly laid out exactly what time in the SAW timeline we were at, in this case it picked up seconds after the end of movie five. The movie then brought back a character that we thought was dead and gone, but they did it in a way that was easy to believe and did not feel forced or a cheap shot. Like most SAW movies this movie had two main plots, the back-story and the "main game" plot. This movies main story was about Jigsaw aka John Kramer and why he started to do what he does. Turns out that there is an insurance company that will only cover healthy people that have no risks of death (sounds like a bad business statement). The main boss guy aka William developed a formula for figuring out if a person should be covered or not. John went to see William before he got deeply sick and he was turned down by William. John went on a rant stating that William was not factoring the most important variable into the equation and th
General Post - General Site News & Updates
As of 1/28/2011 the site is going through some final programming and touch ups. Hopefully some of the flaws that currently exist will soon be fixed. Site has not been updated in awhile but hopefully after these last few fixes and touch ups the site will be much more powerful and error free. As always please send in feedback for anything that does not work the way it should or if you have any ideas for improvements. The most recent fix was the Poll found on the member section; this poll is now fully integrated into the backend database which allows for easier updating and changing of the poll. Some things that still need to be worked on is converting some of the sites static text into more dynamic text and fine tuning the photo album. Another area to touch up is the forums; need to get these fully operational and organized. Also another goal being worked on is the ability to post images inside of a review. This might not happen right away but hopefully at the very least the photo album can be tied into a review in one way or another.

Let me first say that this game is very fun, but it does have its flaws like any other game. With that said let me dive into what makes this game enjoyable and at times un-enjoyable. First let me say that I will be reviewing just the campaign mode and not the online mode. To be honest I did not touch the online mode yet so therefore I cannot give it a accurate review but my guess is that is plays just like the modes in the campaign so it can't be too far off from the same experience. The overall game play is to make it to the finish line first, but how you get there is a challenge because during the race you and your opponents can issue attacks on each other by cashing the track to explode and obstacles to be thrown at you and at times cause the whole race track to switch routes due to a huge explosion. The campaign mode is broken up into 10 chapters/episodes and each episode having 6 different races with the 6 being a "Elite Race." You will start on episode 1 and work your way up after completing a episode you get to pick what episode you want to play next from two options. Whichever option you don't pick will still come up as an option later till you have no choice to choose it, this adds to a little bit of dynamic game play because each time you go through the campaign you could go through it a different way. So far the modes I have come across in the campaign are Race, Elite Race, Elimination, Detonator, Air Strike, and Survival. I think there might be one other mode th

I will have a text version review of this case up in a bit. You can check out the video that I made about this case while you wait for me to post the real review. In a general sum up, this case is great it has plenty of room and the material is of high quality. The cost is on the higher side but I believe you get what you pay for.
